3 days disinfection programme in Dubai started from today.Dubai asked all its citizens and expats to stay indoors, when the nationwide disinfection programme was carried out to try to stop the spread of corona virus.Due to this,the busy streets of Dubai are almost empty and people are staying indoors.Most of the public transport and taxis are suspended.Malls are closed and only Grocery stores and Pharmacies are open.Some banks and hospitals are also open to serve the people.
The major tourist attractions in London are empty and completely deserted last couple of days.The most popular ones like Buckingham palace, Tower bridge and London eye all are very quiet and no soul to be found nearby.Again even the busiest streets in London are also empty since all the shops are closed.Tube stations also shut in many areas.All these empty scenes are due to Corona virus outbreak and so far 184 people died in London for corona virus. The Dubai Department of Economic Development has announced closure of commercial activities in Dubai from March 25th to April 8th 2020.Dubai is another country closing things down to stop the spreading of corona virus. One of the major events in London calendar “Pride in London” was post poned due to corona virus outbreak.This “pride in London” event was attended by 1.5 million people in 2019. It is one of the biggest festivals of this kind in the World. More people are expected to participate in this year’s edition. But because of lock down in London the event was postponed.The event was planned for 27th June 2020. Now the organizers are planning for a different date.
The 13th Glasgow Short Film Festival (GSFF) was postponed to August 19 to 23, 2020. The festival was originally planned to start by 18th March 2020. Due to the corona virus outbreak the festival was postponed. The festival is one of the best events of its kind. The festival has been named as one of the coolest film festival in the world by popular film magazine.The festival suppose to show some of the cool new short films in Scotland and from around the world.Short film fans in Glasgow are eagerly waiting for the event.
Its up to 40 tube stations that are closed in London to prevent the spread of corona virus. Offcourse this closure will affect many travelling in and out of London.
